Product Description: A reclaimed oak veneered and mahogany cricket table, the circular planked top with a raised edge, on three splayed tapering legs joined by a triangular undertier.

Collection Features: Inspired by a 17th century original. The name 'Cricket Table' has unsubstantiated origins but the name most likely comes from the 'cracket' - a term for a three legged stool, or the Anglo-Saxon word Crycc - a term for a crutch or staff. There are musing that the three legged nature may allude to the three stumps of the wicket used in cricket. These tables and stools were widely used, not least because their three legged nature allowed them to be used on the uneven wooden, flagstone or hard earth floors without wobbling.
